Thai Arts "Buddhism Faith"
|
January 16 - 31, 2007
With his devotion in creating Thai traditional art, Chaiwat Kamfun shows 14 pieces of symbolic artwork linked to faith and belief in Buddhism teaching.
To him, faith is a state of mind that dictates a person’s thoughts and feelings. Chaiwat chooses the common Buddhism objects to communicate his thoughts, such as lotus and auspicious creatures taken from images scribed on Buddha’s reli c f oot print.
Elements of lines, colors, tonal value, and space also work together harmoniously to communicate virtue derived from belief and faith in Buddhism.
