TheINTERIOR
by Rick Martin

Mar. 1 - 31, 2007

This photographic exhibition explores the complexity of architectural interiors in Thailand and other parts of the Asia Pacific region.

The
INTERIOR will include spaces such as cafes, bedrooms and hotel rooms looking at the curious contrasts between the prosaic and profound. This exhibition is the result of Rick Martin's two years work in the Asia Pacific region.

One hundred years ago reference to “the interior” meant the dark unexplored part of a country and its people such as the Africa as described in Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness . In the 21 st century most of the world’s population lives in cities. The city is now the exotic “interior”

TheINTERIOR opening reception will be held at La Lanta Fine Art on Mar. 1 at 7.00 p.m. Online invitation please click here.
