Metropolitan in retrospect
by Homthong Brothers
May 1 - 31, 2007
at La Lanta Fine Art
|
Thawatchai, Maitree, and Ritree Homthong showcase their latest painting collections devoted to the inner reflections of life in the city in an abstract style.
Each of the brothers has a distinct attitude towards urban lifestyle, but in this exhibition they jointly present their views through a series of dazzling canvases.
|
Thawatchai shares his enjoyment of fond memories through a vivid blend of colors.
Maitree's work suggests that city life is lacking respect for Mother Nature through oversized and overwhelming features.
Ritree depicts “Krungthep” as a city mesmerized by the fresh breeze of new cultures. |
| |
"Metropolitan in Retrospect" exhibition will be on show at
La Lanta Fine Art from May 1 until May 31.
A reception with the artists will be open to all on Wednesday May 2, 2007 at 7.00 pm |
