UNEVEN LIFE continues until Feb. 28

Pitch Tangpun's work on display at the AAF Amsterdam 2008 by Red Gallery

Works by a Thai artist will be featured for the first time at the 20|21 International Art Fair at Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London from 19 – 22 February.

Represented in the UK by Red Gallery, Pitch Tangpun’s artworks will be on display at stand no. 8.

The fair features work from many countries. Artists include 20th century ‘blue chip’ names such as Matisse, Miro and Derain alongside British favorites such as Blake, Hockney, Piper, Fedden, and Riley.

A long time resident in Thailand , Nigel Price examines the events and surroundings imposed on him by the chaotic and paradoxical nature of Bangkok and life in general.

Challenging issues such as demographics, generational relationships, the sex trade, foreign workers and social attitudes, play influential roles in his playfully edgy compositions.

The human figure is pivotal in the work as he finds it is accessible and direct when eliciting responses, thus creating an immediate mental narrative for the viewer.

The artist communicates by instinctually interweaving layers of imagery that include stuffed toys, infants, flowers and camouflage.

Originally from Wales , Nigel Price earned a fine art degree in painting from John Moores University in Liverpool .

He has exhibited in various group shows in the UK . He has lived in Thailand for over 13 years and continues to create his own voice in art.

Nigel Price’s paintings and drawings will be on display at La Lanta Fine Art from Mar. 14 until Mar. 31.
