Alright, I shall greed

Walking into La Lanta Fine Art in July is just like a walk into Kiat-anan Eimchan's world of fantasy.

In "Alright, I shall greed", he discusses a topic "Burden of happiness" where people are striving to obtain "happiness" by acquiring more wealth and more materials.

With apparent influence from a modern cartoon - a phenomena impacting young people in his generation, Kiat-anan's work contains complex, imaginative, and a dense use of symbolic figures.

Portraying the struggling side of human beings, his highly original work evokes mixed feelings through its presentation in a surreal and whimsical way.

Flashback from the NYC fair

La Lanta Fine Art was pleased to showcase 6 artists from Thailand to the international audience in New York last month.

The response was very positive. We feel reassured in our position to continue to discover new talents and promote them to a wider public.

The show was a sold-out for one of our promising artists Pitch Tangpun. Please click here to view Pitch's entire collection.

The work by another one of our represented artists, Christian Develter, was hand picked as one of the nine artists who left the biggest impression for the writer from the LoftLife Magazine - Affordable art in an unaffordable city.

We have moved

Since the mid of July, La Lanta has settled into its new and permanent home in Bangkok on Sukhumvit 31 Road.

Our new space is a convertion of a 15 year old 4 storey shophouse located in the middle of a bustling area of Sukhumvit.

The first and second floors are dedicated to art exhibitions. The next floor houses our framing service and office area. Our top floor welcomes visitors who would like to view artwork from past exhibitions.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home. The details of our new contact information can be found at the end of this message.
