"a town"
The image of this work is from the earthquake disaster in Japan. We knew that daily life is not peaceful yet not boring. A day at somewhere or in the world somewhere, people's daily life may be lost. It was a town like every other town
- calm, peaceful and quiet. Then it came the black shadow with its flames,
leaving the town with coldness of the aftermath. |

"a world"
Hundreds and thousands of bodies walking across the screen. Eventually, those countless bodies merge into the shape of a world map. We lose our direction. We lose our ways. We wander around aimlessly in amidst of discordance, friction and conflicts. The work sharply describes the form of un-communication. Ironically, our difference and inconsistence in value and belief might possibly connect us with one another. |

"a room"
This works presents the series of scenes of our daily lives seen through square-shaped windows or TV screen. One's room is the smallest unit of one's private space. It contains a lot of things that one doesn't want others to see or things that are not worth showing.
Those things might not be beautiful or match the traditional image of the country. We believe a room captures real habitation and a moment of precious time of a person.
Our intention is share some of this space. We invite viewers to take a close look at a piece of ordinary life shown in this small box.
Our belief is that those small connections between individuals may lead to global peace. We are willing to continue this Room Project, which started here, in many other countries. Our plan is to accumulate these small boxes to create a large world map in the near future.
